Privacy Policy
Updated
Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information SaveNext (“we”, “us”) collects when you use our website and tools, why we collect it and what choices you have. The short version: we don’t require an account, we don’t ask for your Instagram login, and we don’t keep a history of what you download.
1. Information we collect
Links you submit. When you paste an Instagram link, we use it only to fetch the public media you asked for. It is processed in real time and never becomes part of a profile about you. If a link fails, it may be written to an error log together with your IP address so we can find the cause; those logs are deleted within 30 days.
Technical data. Like almost every website, our servers automatically receive basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page and the time of your request. We use this to keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix errors.
Messages you send us. If you contact us, we receive your email address, the optional Instagram link and whatever you include in your message. The contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that you are not a bot using signals from your browser and device.
2. How we use information
- To provide the download tools and deliver the files you request.
- To protect the service against spam, automated abuse and attacks.
- To understand, in aggregate, which features are used so we can improve them.
- To show advertising that keeps the tools free.
- To reply to messages and handle copyright requests.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
Essential. A small number of cookies keep your session secure and protect forms against forgery. These are always needed for the site to work.
Preferences. Choices such as light or dark mode are stored in your browser’s local storage, not sent to us. If you install SaveNext as an app, its files are stored on your device so it can open offline.
Analytics and advertising. Google sets cookies to measure visits and to show ads, as described in the next two sections. Where the law requires it, these are only used after you agree. You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings.
4. Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to see how the site is used — which pages are opened, roughly where visitors come from (country or city level), which device and browser they use, and which site referred them. We use this only in aggregate, to improve the tools. Google Analytics does not store full IP addresses, and we keep this data for 14 months.
Google processes this information as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. You can opt out of measurement entirely with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
5. Advertising
Ads keep SaveNext free. We use Google AdSense, and the following applies to it:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of other vendors’ use of cookies at aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu.
- If you have not opted out of third-party ad serving, other vendors’ or ad networks’ cookies may also be used.
Even without personalisation, ads still need cookies for basic tasks such as limiting how often an ad is shown, measuring performance and preventing fraud. Google explains its ad technologies in its advertising policies. We never share your email address or your messages with advertising partners.
6. Your choices about cookies and ads
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent message from a Google-certified consent platform appears before analytics or advertising cookies are used. Nothing is set until you choose.
You can change your answer at any time with the Privacy settings link at the bottom of the page. Depending on where you live, that link also lets you opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for personalised advertising. Clearing cookies in your browser also resets your choice.
7. Instagram content
SaveNext does not host any Instagram content. Media is fetched from Instagram’s public servers when you request it and delivered to your device. Previews and downloads load directly from Instagram’s (Meta’s) servers, so Meta can see your IP address, just as it would if you opened Instagram yourself. We never access private accounts and never ask for Instagram credentials.
8. How long we keep data
Server and error logs are kept for a short period (typically no more than 30 days) for security and troubleshooting, then deleted or anonymised. Analytics data is kept for 14 months. Advertising cookies have their own lifetimes, usually up to about 13 months, and are set by Google rather than by us. Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards.
9. Sharing with third parties
We share information only with the service providers that help us run SaveNext, and only as much as they need:
- Hosting, CDN and security — including Cloudflare, which routes traffic and protects the contact form.
- Analytics and advertising — Google, as described above.
- Email — to receive and answer your messages.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and users.
10. International data transfers
Some of these providers, including Google and Cloudflare, process data on servers outside your country, for example in the United States. Where data leaves the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, those transfers rely on safeguards such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe, the CCPA in California or India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Consent for cookies can be withdrawn through the Privacy settings link at the bottom of the page. For anything else, send us a request through our contact page.
12. Children’s privacy
SaveNext is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
13. Security
We use HTTPS encryption and industry-standard safeguards to protect the information we process. No online service can be completely secure, but we work hard to keep data to a minimum and protect what we do hold.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
